Mohamed is a 24 year old Palestinian who has lost so much since the outbreak of war.
He never wanted to leave Gaza, but desperation has forced him to flee for safety. He lost his career and worst of all he lost three members of his family. A bomb destroyed his home and killed his father, brother and sister. He also lost his brother in a recent air strike that hit his refugee camp. He is left with only his mother who is caring for his sick grandfather. He himself has been injured twice due to strikes and has now migrated to Rafah, and lives in a tent away from his family. He needs money to escape so he can help support his family. It will cost him €5k to pay the travel agency and €1.5k to pay for a visa and passport, but this does not include all the extra costs he will encounter (e.g. food, shelter and transport).
